The SPRING 2025 CAP Training Courses Open for Registration!



The CAP Training schedule for the entire school year is now available for individuals to register. All courses are eligible for graduate credit for salary advancement (district determined) OR to resolve the 6-credit certificate renewal requirements for Option B or C.


There are only a few more grant-funded openings available for the upcoming Financial Aid III: The FAFSA Step-By-Step course - Secure your free registration ASAP!

Leveraging Data and Advising Frameworks to Enhance Postsecondary Outcomes

This course, developed for practicing school counselors, educators, and college access professionals, focuses on the critical role of student data in developing and implementing a comprehensive postsecondary advising framework. You will explore both the principles of continuous improvement science and the associated tools that can be applied to establishing district, school, and/or organizational goals and practices to improve CCR and value of capturing student feedback and how to effectively use student voice to shape the design of student programming, You will gain insights into leveraging FAFSA completion data to identify trends, target interventions, and support students in navigating the financial aid process to positively affect post-high school transition and enrollment.

Supporting Undocumented Students with the College Process

The Presidents' Alliance on Higher Education and Immigration (the Alliance), the National College Attainment Network (NCAN), and Teach For America have developed a comprehensive advising guide designed for high school counselors, teachers, and higher education administrators who support undocumented students. The purpose of this guide is to provide for and assist undocumented students through the postsecondary enrollment process.
