I am happy to report that the tree will be saved! One of our parents read about the tree in the newsletter and offered to replant it at his ranch in Perris. The tree will be well cared for and stay within the El Sol community. While we couldn't guarantee the tree's survival over the months of construction, the direct replanting gives it a significantly better chance of survival. The family will send us pictures and we will share with all of you!
The Geometry students will participate in a comprehensive project incorporating practical Arithmetic, Geometry, and Trigonometry applications related to the tree's removal. Learning is everywhere and in everything!
With the off-site construction coming to completion, the on-site work has begun. While the plans are still in development, you should see that in the next week or so, the temporary construction fences will be in place, along with further preparation for the removal of the portables. During the winter break, the portables will be removed and the preparation for the new foundations will be completed. The substantial portion of the project will be done during January through March and the completion of the project is expected in early May. We will report specific milestones as the work progresses.
We thank you for your patience and understanding.
Enjoy your Thanksgiving break. I am so thankful for all of you.
