SLA is excited to announce that applications are now open for the SLA Mentorship Pilot Program!
To give library and information service professionals at all stages of their career an opportunity to participate, the SLA Mentorship Pilot Program has three roles accepting applications: mentor, mentee, and peer-to-peer mentor.
- A mentor is an experienced library and information service professional, with at least five years of experience working in the field.
- A mentee is newer to the library and information service profession or a library student and has less than five years of experience working in the field.
- A peer-to-peer mentor is anyone actively working in library and information services in Saskatchewan who would like to build a professional relationship with someone working at another library or organization.
The SLA Mentorship Pilot Program will match you with a mentor, mentee, or peer (depending on the role you apply for) and then you and your match get to decide how and when to virtually connect!
This pilot program will run from October 2024 through May 2025. Applications will close on September 13, 2024.
The program is open to SLA individual members and is free to join. Applicants will be matched with a mentor, mentee, or peer-to-peer mentor as requested, depending on availability.
