FLASE Starfish Award 2024-2025

The Fair Lawn Association for Special Education (FLASE) recently surprised and awarded Memorial Middle School science teacher Craig Cohen with its prestigious Starfish Award. MMS Principal Nancy Schwindt says Mr. Cohen is a cherished Fair Lawn educator, known for his fun and creative teaching methods and endless compassion. She pridefully adds, “Through engaging science lessons and greenhouse gardening projects, Mr. Cohen sparks curiosity and wonder while meeting each student's unique needs. His classroom is a space where students of all abilities are recognized and empowered.”

Mr. Cohen will be honored at the 27th annual FLASE dinner dance and casino night fundraiser on Friday, February 28.
