Native American Heritage Month

Celebrated each November since 1990, Native American Heritage Month pays tribute to the rich ancestry and traditions of Native Americans. Visit Native Knowledge 360° (NK360°), from the National Museum of the American Indian, for educational materials, virtual student programs, and teacher training that incorporate Native narratives, more comprehensive histories, and accurate information to enlighten and inform teaching and learning about Native America.

Ruling Our Experiences has unveiled The Girls' Index™: Girls & STEM Report, the largest study of its kind, featuring insights from over 17,500 girls in grades 5-12. The report highlights a growing interest in STEM careers among girls, but also a concerning drop in confidence. It calls for action to bridge the gap between girls' aspirations and self-belief in STEM fields. Explore key findings and recommendations to support girls in STEM.

EngineerGirl Writing Contest

The 2025 EngineerGirl Writing Contest is now open. Students in grades 3-12 are asked to write a piece about a common object they would make “smart,” what it would do, and what could go wrong. Entries must be submitted by February 5, 2025. Learn more.

EiE Families

EiE from Museum of Science, Boston, has developed a free collection of STEM activities for families. These hands-on, research-based activities are designed for families with children ages 4–11 to build confidence, collaborative problem-solving skills, and understanding of STEM disciplines.
