Dear Residents -

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a time to bring awareness to the disease, to provide support to breast cancer patients and to highlight how early screening can significantly improve the chances of a successful outcome. Unfortunately, the rising incidence of breast cancer is increasingly affecting younger people. So please remind the women in your life to take breast cancer screening seriously, as early detection makes all the difference.

Early voting starts next Saturday at Town Hall and it is not too late to catch a “Meet the Candidate” event. Click on the links below or scroll down to the flyers at the end to get details about the following events:

Hear directly from the candidates, maybe even ask a question, and then get out and vote!

Looking for things to do this weekend? Start tonight at The Spirit of Sobro in Nyack. Then tomorrow, there is the Semi-Annual Shredding Day at Town Hall, Barefoot in the Park at the Antrim Playhouse, the Tappantown Historical Society Bulb Sale, the Lamont-Doherty Open House, and Pearl River Day at the Central Avenue Field. See below for details.

As you can see, there is certainly no shortage of things to do this weekend. So, get out and enjoy all that Orangetown has to offer!

Regards,

Teresa M. Kenny
