  • Mrs. Wyman, Mrs. Dent, and Miss Abraham shop on Tuesday, October 22.
  • Mrs. Polzin, Mrs. Gusé, and Mr. Garcia shop on Wednesday, October 23.

Please support in-person shopping by sending money in with your student on their shopping day. (CASH or CHECK made out to St. Paul Lutheran School)

St. Paul friends and family can shop in the school gym at dismissal on Thursday, October 24 and from 9:30-11:30 a.m. on Friday, October 25.

In-person sales earn 50% back in rewards for our school. Online sales earn 25%. Click here to shop online.

Join our event through the St. Paul Facebook page to see updates and FAQs. For more info, contact Kristen Glasser: 989-529-2962.

VIP Day New Format

With an increase in students, the St. Paul teachers and staff are looking forward to a slightly revamped VIP experience. On Friday, October 25, please drop off students at the school following our usual drop-off procedure. Like normal, school doors will open at 7:00 a.m. with Early Morning Arrival until 7:45 a.m. Students will report to their classrooms for attendance for an 8:00 a.m. school start.

At 8:25 a.m., students will be escorted from the school to the church where they will meet up with their VIPs who will be enjoying coffee, refreshments, and fellowship in the Church Ministry Center. All students and VIPs will enjoy Chapel in the Church Sanctuary. Following the Chapel Service, VIPs and students will be escorted to the school.

From 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. students and VIPs will enjoy various activities. Dismissal for school and the event will occur at 11:30 a.m.

Trunk or Treat

*Rain Date: Saturday, October 26, 1:00-2:00 p.m.

Welcome Sue Headings and Julia Appold

St. Paul Lutheran School would like to extend a warm welcome to Sue Headings who has joined the Kitchen Staff as a hot lunch aide and Julia Appold who has joined the Office Staff as a receptionist. Both Sue and Julia are members of St. Paul Lutheran Church and have a heart for serving our school community and the Lord. If you see Mrs. Headings or Mrs. Appold, please give them a heartfelt welcome. We are blessed to have them.

PTO Thank You–Pastries with Parents

We would like to thank the PTO officers for offering the great hospitality at Pastries with Parents. 170 people enjoyed fellowship around donuts, muffins, apple cider, and coffee.

Chapel Families and Chapel Buddies

During our Wednesday morning Chapel service, students sit with their Chapel Family. On September 25, students were given a special buddy or buddies within their family. For the most part, buddies are specifically paired as an older student with a younger student to aid with hymnal holding and reading help during the Chapel service. A sheet is coming home today in your child’s Friday Folder that has a photo of your student and his or her buddy/buddies. It is the hope of the staff and teachers that these unique friendships are a blessing to all involved.

Drop-Off Reminder

A kind reminder regarding the morning drop-off procedure: Parents who need/desire to help students with opening car doors or unbuckling seat belts are asked to park their car in a parking space during the morning drop-off procedure. The drop-off line (that flows past the orange cones) is reserved for students who can independently get themselves out of their cars. To help keep everyone safe during drop-off, please use the parking spaces if you know your student needs assistance getting out of the car. St. Paul appreciates it! (For additional information see pg. 15 in the Parent Handbook.)

Bay County Health Department Exams

The Bay County Health Department will be here on Thursday, October 19 - Friday, October 20, to conduct hearing and vision exams. Hearing exams are for grades K, 2 & 4 and vision exams are for grades 1, 3, 5 & 7.

If you would like to opt your child out from the hearing or vision exam we will need a note, either written or emailed to office@stpaulbaycity.org
