JOSEPHINE'S

CANDY AND LEMONADE STAND

Josephine is a young philanthropist and entrepreneur. She is also adopted!

Over the summer, Josephine ran her own candy and lemonade stand to raise funds in support of adoption. She raised more than $940 and her generous parents doubled the donation.

In total, Josephine raised $1891.10 to support Greenlight's mission!

ZOEY'S ADOPTION STORY

Zoey's story is one of love triumphing over obstacles. Her single mother could not provide for her, so Zoey's grandma stepped up to raise her in a safe and loving home. Zoey thrives in school where she's befriended the two sons, one adopted like her, of the Toft family.

Earlier this year, Zoey's grandma suffered a debilitating injury, making it nearly impossible for her to continue raising Zoey. The Tofts came to the rescue and opened their hearts and home.

With the guidance of Greenlight Family Development Specialist Kelia Beck, Zoey, her grandma, the Tofts, and their village of supporters attended court in October to finalize Zoey's adoption. With hugs and waterworks all around, the Toft's told grandma she's "adopted" into the family too!

Zoey's journey proves that family is truly defined by the love and care we give to one another.
