The Power of Partnership

Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil.

Ecclesiastes 4:9

If we look around at our ministry today, nearly everything that we do is in partnership with others – schools, churches, companies, volunteers, donors, YWAM international, and more. We have witnessed how partnership has a multiplication effect on impact. It creates a ripple effect that reaches to the spheres of society.

We are so grateful for each one of the partners that God has connected us to. And we are looking for more partners! There are so many different ways that you can be involved and have a hand in what God is doing in Hong Kong!

YWAM Together 2024

In September, we had the great joy of coming together in Manila, Philippines, with 4,500 other YWAMers. This was a significant time, as it marked the first global gathering since YWAM’s founder, Loren Cunningham, graduated to glory.

We heard stories of YWAMers from around the world and how God used their steps of obedience to transform nations. We were reminded of foundational teachings and the Legacy Words that drive the direction of our mission, while also looking to the future to see where God is taking YWAM. And we championed the emerging generations to take their place in the missions field. It was a life-giving time as we remembered our past, celebrated our present, and prepared ourselves for our future.

We are thankful to have had a part in serving our international YWAM family. Faby Ruesga, one of our base directors, was the event manager of the gathering and our base had an opportunity to serve in different capacities on the ground.

During this time, Faby was also commissioned as part of the President’s Team of the University of the Nations which is YWAM's University and trains thousands around across the globe. In this position, she will be helping to make key decisions to influence the direction of YWAM's University and how it can be more effective in equipping those around the world.

Serving the Underserved

Hot Meals for the Cardboard Collectors

Through God’s provision and the generosity of the Rotary Club of Channel Islands, we've been able to distribute 100 hot meals to the cardboard collectors weekly! Something we take for granted, such as a warm meal, is not a reality for others, so we count it a blessing to provide this for these hard workers who spend their days on the streets.

Even though we distributed the meals around dinner time, one of the elderly cardboard collectors told us that it was his first meal of the day. Another cardboard granny excitedly received the meal, saying, “It’s a warm meal! I normally just eat bread.”

We look forward to warming the hearts of the cardboard collectors through these hot meals this fall!

Partner with Us

For a Breakthrough in Finances!

We have seen God providing for us in unexpected ways ever since the beginning of YWAM Tuen Mun, when we literally only had a few pieces of furniture, two empty rented flats, and the call of God to pioneer.

We are thankful for the donors that have stood beside us and generously and faithfully given towards our work. They have made it possible for us to serve!

As our ministry has expanded over the years, so have our operating expenses. We are again trusting God for a release of finances. We are praying for people who are willing to step out in faith to give towards our ministry, either monthly or as a one-time donation, to invest in what God is doing in Hong Kong and Asia.

Would you pray with us? And would you be an answer to our prayers?
