MilkWorks Welcomes New Director
MilkWorks has knowledgeable and compassionate staff who develop trusting relationships with clients with the goal of providing each family with the care they need to meet their personal breastfeeding goals.
In October of 2019, MilkWorks welcomed Angie Miller as a successor to founding member and former Executive Director, Ann Seacrest, who retired after co-founding the organization nearly 20 years ago.

LOOKING AHEAD IN 2020 - This year, Partnership for a Healthy Lincoln celebrates 10 years of improving health in our community. This year will also mark our 10th year of improving neighborhood health with our annual outdoor festival, Streets Alive! Celebrate with us by getting involved. Volunteer or donate to our efforts and be part of making our community the healthiest city in the nation.

Community Crops has chosen Megan McGuffey as their new executive director.
Megan is engaged in local food work across the state of Nebraska, serving on the Nebraska Legislature's Community Garden Task Force, the Lincoln-Lancaster County Food Policy Council, and the Local Foods Coordinating Council. Megan earned her MPA in 2013 and is currently a doctoral candidate at UNO School of Public Administration.

The Malone Center Board of Directors John has appointed John Goodwin as executive director.
John has
served as interim director
since June after first joining the Malone
Center staff as director of operations in October 2017.
He has previous experience working in the Lincoln Public Schools system.

The Lincoln Asian Community and Cultural Center
invites you to celebrate the Lunar New Year on Sat., Febr. 8, from 1 - 4 PM at the Lancaster Event Center, Lincoln Room - free and open to all.
The celebration will include live music, traditional art performances, cultural activities, diverse cuisine, fun games, and health screenings.

Aging Partners is offering classes this winter designed to help older adults
manage arthritis pain and prevent falls through Tai Chi. The Moving for Better Balance program is 1 - 2 PM, on Tues. and Thurs., Jan. 14 - Mar. 12, Irving Recreation Center, 2010 Van Dorn St. (No class on Jan. 28 or Feb. 25.)
Aging Partners also invites adults with diabetes, their family members and friends to attend a series of free Diabetes Self-Management Workshops, 9:30 - 11:30 AM Tuesdays, Jan. 14 - Febr18, at Ambassador Health, 4405 Normal Blvd.

he Nebraska Sports Council coordinates the company-based Nebraska Corporate Games competition taking place in April and May. The competition enables and supports teamwork, company pride and corporate wellness through healthy competition. There are 12 sports and competitions offered that include both competitive and non-competitive events. Most events will be held in the evenings and on the weekends. Over three dozen company teams have entered and there's still time to
sign up.

Partnership for a Healthy Lincoln (PHL) is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the health, wellness, and fitness of our community. We collaborate with other organizations on joint projects to improve health by increasing physical fitness, promoting good nutrition, supporting breastfeeding, and working with healthcare providers to improve patient outcomes.
Our work includes improving health and wellness policies, conducting community level research, and evaluation of the success of local health initiatives.
