Dear Members and Friends,

Welcome back to a new season and the return of the MPOA's monthly newsletter.

While we're relieved that Naples was spared the worst of a difficult hurricane season, our hearts go out to the communities along Florida's Gulf Coast that suffered destruction and hardship. We've included information below about an opportunity to support our neighbors through the Harry Chapin Food Bank.

I was eager to share updates on improvements around our community, including the Harbour Drive medians and the completed Beach Park restoration. However, Hurricanes Helene and Milton disrupted these plans, requiring a restart of many efforts.

Although the damage from these recent storms wasn't as severe as Ian's, the park still experienced significant sand intrusion. We're working diligently to repair the park, prioritizing the preservation of pathways, pods, furniture, landscaping, and irrigation systems. Our goal is to reopen the park by Thanksgiving.

Membership renewal for 2025 will begin in mid-November. Please refer to the article below for more details.

Looking forward to seeing you at the Beach Park as soon as possible.

Cliff Holland

The Beach Park remains CLOSED to all members until further notice. This closure includes pedestrians traversing the park to access the beach. As the clean-up progresses, heavy machinery needs unimpeded access to maneuver around the park without the risk of injuring pedestrians.

Individuals have been going through the hurricane stressed clusia to gain access and are causing further damage to the hedge. Please use the public beach access just south of the Beach Park. Lowdermilk Park has just reopened as an additional beach access option. See below for more detail on Lowdermilk Park's reopening.

The current timeline for Beach Park reopening is by Thanksgiving. We appreciate your patience and support as we mitigate the damage from Hurricane Milton.
