2024 NAAE Convention Future Agriscience Teacher Symposium Registration Closes Tomorrow


NAAE is hosting the national cohort Future Agriscience Teacher Symposium at NAAE Convention in San Antonio, Texas. This symposium offers preservice agricultural educators the opportunity to network and engage within the profession while leading and learning together through NAAE professional development. Registration closes November 1, 2024.

NAAE State Leaders Training


This year we will have a special training session for state ag teachers association leadership. The goal of program is to provide specialized training for state ag teachers association officers to ensure sustainability of successful state ag teachers associations. Participants will undergo leadership training in addition to specific instruction in association management and share successful strategies. Lunch will be provided.


NAAE will provide registration to the event for up to two state association leaders (preferably President and President-Elect or Vice President). 


Registration is now open and will close on November 15. Additional state association officers may attend but will be required to pay a $50 registration fee.

Go Global with Global Teach Ag Network

We invite you to Go Global with the Global Teach Ag Network! GTAN has two current opportunities available for agriculture teachers to apply for. More information about Teach Ag Uganda and the Educators Empowering Educators program are below.



We hope you will join us and engage in one or both of these programs! The Global Teach Ag Network is thankful to have NAAE as a global learning partner as we together invest in the professional development of agriculture teachers through global opportunities. 

Opportunity 1: Teach Ag Uganda


Time Commitment: 

  • 24-32 hours pre-work (3-4 hours per month, November 2024 to June 2025)
  • One month travel (July 2025)
  • 10-15 hours post-work (August/September 2025)

Travel and teach with the Global Teach Ag Network in Uganda! 12 teachers will be selected for a month-long immersion experience to Uganda to teach and work alongside Ugandan agricultural educators. The cost of this experience is heavily subsidized through funding from the USDE Fulbright-Hays Group Projects Abroad program. Join us as we learn about Ugandan agriculture, education, and culture.

Time Commitment: 85 hours across 12 months ($1,750 stipend provided)

Join a team of teachers in creating resources for educators across the globe to use with their learners. This USDA Professional Development for Agricultural Literacy-funded program funds professional development for teachers in global agriculture, food security, and sustainability through a three-day immersion in State College, PA in January 2025. Teacher teams will be formed that will create resources related to one of the six Agriculture and Food Research Initiative (AFRI) Priority Areas. Teams will be partnered with scientists in this field and be given funding for dissemination and sharing of these resources at virtual and in-person events. 

My Local Cooperative Learning Modules

The National Association of Agricultural Educators is working in partnership with the CHS Foundation to offer engaging and inquiry based instructional materials that have everything you need to deliver quality instruction on the cooperative business model, the impact of cooperatives on the community and cooperative career opportunities. The modules are yours to use and come with everything you need; materials list, teacher notes, handouts, presentation tools, assessments and more. Click here to access the modules.

The National Association of Agricultural Educators is a federation of state agricultural educators' associations with more than 9,500 members. NAAE members are involved in school-based agricultural education at any level, from middle school through postsecondary, and state and national agricultural education leadership.
