A Message from the Founders…

Happy summer everyone. We hope you’re all keeping busy and enjoying some quality time and maybe some R&R as well. We’re taking a little breather here after our annual GTF charity concert event on July 5th. As mentioned before, this year’s event was dedicated to our good friend and lead singer of PACIFIC, Tom Henderson and was PACIFIC’s 50th anniversary celebration. We played our hearts out, all for a good cause. Thanks to all our friends, fans, and supporters who came out to spend time with us over the holiday weekend. We loved every minute. Below you’ll see some highlights from the event. See you soon. --Kevin & Mare Wachs, co-founders

Save the Date: Sunday, September 8th (9/8) for 988

It’s time to officially announce our Fall charity event..

This year, we decided to put our efforts into something extremely meaningful and hope this will resonate with many of you. Mental illness seems to be at an all-time high these days, and sadly the suicide rate is soaring. Over the course of the last year, we learned about the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, the nationwide hotline dedicated to helping those in extreme circumstances who need immediate help. We also discovered that no one seems to know about this important 3-digit number. Our 988 awareness campaign is going to roll out very soon and will lead up to our big charity event taking place on Sunday, September 8th. September is National Suicide Prevention Month. The time is now to make a difference and help save lives. We hope you’ll join us in our efforts and save the date to attend our event.

The 988 Lifeline Charity Event will take place at the historic Orpheum Theatre in DTLA and will feature “Heart & Soul” – A Musical Tribute to the Life & Times of Donny Hathaway

Legendary soul singer Donny Hathaway suffered from severe mental illness, which eventually resulted in his untimely death at just 33 years of age. Hathaway’s legacy lives on in his music. His interpretations of well-known songs include renditions of Leon Russell’s “A Song for You," and famed duets with Roberta Flack, “Where is the Love” and “The Closer I Get to You."

This multimedia show will feature a stellar cast of actors and singers performing Hathaway’s songs and telling his stories.

Where is the money going?

Proceeds raised will benefit Didi Hirsch Mental Health Services – a leading provider of mental health and suicide prevention services, and other mental health partner organizations, to help increase the level of care and immediate support for potential suicide victims and their families, to help raise awareness of the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, and to provide public education to address the multifaceted causes of this tragic epidemic.

The event will also include:

  • Silent auction
  • VIP packages
  • Meet & Greet
