Traffic impacts:
Rolling temporary signal shutdowns are scheduled on Walker Road today (July 11) and Friday (July 12) for permanent power connections for new traffic signals.
Upcoming Traffic Changes:
Construction activities will move to the south side of Walker Road the week of July 22 with through-traffic being moved to the newly constructed north side. This traffic switch will include the relocation of concrete traffic barriers and the temporary restriping on Walker Road.
Drivers:
Current traffic for westbound Walker Road, through the work area, is still reduced to one lane between Murray Boulevard and 158the Avenue.
Pedestrians:
Sidewalks remain closed along the north side of Walker Road. Once the construction operations have been moved to the south side, the sidewalks along the south side of Walker will be closed and pedestrians will be directed to use the new sidewalk along the north side of Walker Road through the work zones.
Cyclists:
The westbound bike lane on the north side of Walker Road has been relocated adjacent to the concrete barriers. This lane will be restored once the construction operations have switched to the south side.
Transit:
All stops for Routes 67 (Bethany/158th) and 59 (Walker/Park Way) are open though there may be temporary disruptions to stops due to current construction activities. Route 67 (Stop ID #6832) adjacent to Tualatin Hills Howard Terpenning Complex has been restored and is now open.
