National Walk and Roll to School Day

Walk & Roll to School Day is an annual event that involves communities from across the country (and globe!) walking and rolling to school on the same day. Join Cherry Chase in the movement this Wednesday, October 9, 2024! We are encouraging all Cherry Chase families to walk, bike, scooter, or skate to school or your bus pick up spot as often as possible to build healthy habits and help with car congestion in the community.

Cherry Chase Diwali Celebration – Leads Urgently Needed!

The Cherry Chase Diwali event is scheduled for Nov 15th, but we can only make it happen with your help. The team is coming together, but we still need more help with the Fashion show team, Communications team, and Decorations team. Many roles can be done from home. Reflections Day will be held on Friday, Oct 11, 2024, from 1 pm to 3.30 pm on the Cherry Chase campus. Find us at the benches behind the multi, and your student can submit entries on the spot, for the Reflections Art Competition.

Seeking Coaches for Girls on the Run

Would you like to mentor girls at our school in a fun, empowering program? We are currently seeking volunteer coaches for Girls on the Run 3rd-5th grade program for the spring season. Girls on the Run is a character development program that inspires girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using an experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running.

Your PTA Dollars At Work

Thanks to your generous support, Cherry Chase PTA sponsored last week's school assemblies with Blake Brandes and the evening parent ed night. It was a very engaging presentation on encouraging a growth mindset. Ask your student about "boots and cats!"

Cherry Chase PTA Supports Measure Y

On Nov 5, voters in the Sunnyvale School District will be asked to renew the District’s $59 per year parcel tax, Measure Y. First approved in 2011, the parcel tax has raised approximately $1.1 million annually to support teachers and classroom programs.
