First Lab in New Commercial Kitchen
Baking and Pastry students kicked off their first lab in the new commercial kitchen by preparing a simple Rice Krispies recipe. As they’re still getting used to the roles and responsibilities of a professional kitchen, starting with a more manageable recipe allowed them to focus on teamwork and organization. Each student in a group is assigned a specific role for each lab, with one student acting as the kitchen manager to ensure cleaning tasks are completed correctly. This lab provided an introduction to the skills they’ll continue to build in RB’s culinary program and beyond.
