This Sunday, join us for our new series, Summer Baggage, as we dive into the heaviest baggage we carry with us on life’s journey. Our emotional luggage, often filled with unrecognized feelings, weighs us down with a heaviness that keeps us from God’s best. Many of us carry the weight of past mistakes and missed opportunities, which hinders our spiritual growth and joy. By embracing God's grace, we can release these regrets and move forward with hope and purpose. By focusing on the future and the plans God has for us, we can let go of what lies behind and press on towards what lies ahead, living in the freedom and hope that Christ offers.

Jeff Kersey, Senior Pastor, will be preaching in the Auditorium for the Contemporary Worship services; Bill Bouknight, Retired GMC Guest Pastor, will be preaching in the Sanctuary for the Traditional Worship services.

For those worshiping remotely, you're invited to watch our services online, on Facebook and YouTube.

Compassion Night

Many in our congregation are passionate about the rescuing work Compassion International does and the impact child sponsorship has had around the globe and in their own household. Because of this, we are excited to host Compassion Night on Wednesday, June 26 from 6:00-7:30 PM in the Student Room. Gather with others who share this passion, especially if you or your family sponsor Compassion children. We will enjoy a time of dinner and fellowship, share stories about our sponsored children, learn more about the Survival Program Mt. Horeb is now funding in the Dominican Republic, and take an even deeper look at the impact this kind of ministry has on children, families, and entire communities. We will also take time to write to our sponsored kids and others that need letters of encouragement! Kids are also welcome as long as they're accompanied by a parent/guardian. There is no cost to attend and dinner is provided.

Please let us know you plan to come by registering here.

The Art of Marriage

June 26 - July 31

Inspired by the global impact the classic Art of Marriage has had on millions of marriages, the all-new Art of Marriage is masterfully designed to inspire and equip today’s couples: whether newly married, seasoned, empty nesters, or part of a blended family. Creatively presented as videos, spoken word poetry, animations, group discussion questions, date night challenges, his and her devotionals and so much more, the six aspects of God’s powerful and perfect love can be understood and applied immediately. This will be a six-week study meeting in the Fellowship Hall on Wednesday evenings at 6:15 PM. Childcare will be available. If you need childcare, you will need to register your child. Register here.

Pastor's Study

July 10 - July 31

Join us for a four-week Bible study on the book of Philippians Wednesday evenings at 6:15 PM in the Sanctuary. Childcare is available. If you need childcare, please register your child. Register here.

Kids Worship Camp

We are excited about our Kids Worship Camp this summer! Join us July 22-25 for four jam-packed mornings (9 AM - 12 PM) of worship through the creative arts. Registration is open to those who have completed 1st—5th grade that would like to learn more about the various aspects of worship and music instruction. There will be group singing and smaller group workshops - oh, and don’t forget the snacks! Parents and loved ones, join us for a brief program on Thursday at noon when you pick up your kiddos! They will be presenting a few of the songs they have learned, and we will do some demonstrations of some of the music concepts as well.

Spaces are limited, so register here now.

Worship Workshops

The Contemporary Worship Team is hosting Worship Workshops for rising 6th - 12th grade students interested in learning more about worship music, live production, and pastoral ministry. This is a great opportunity to learn more about one of these areas and a great way to develop and define skills. If you are a beginner, this is also an opportunity to be exposed to how these ministries work together to serve in a worship service setting. In the Pastoral Ministry track you can learn more about speaking and Bible Study methods. There are many worship tracks that you can choose from: Drums, Bass, Keys, Electric Guitar, Acoustic Guitar, and Vocals. Our Production track will focus on audio, lighting, and live video production as these areas work together to support worship services. Worship Workshops will be July 29-31 from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM. The deadline to sign up is July 21. Register here.

Reception for Pastor Jeff and Lynn

It's hard to believe Pastor Jeff and Lynn have been at Mt. Horeb for 30 years. But, this month marks their 30 year anniversary in doing ministry here. We want to honor them with a reception immediately following the 10:45 AM services on June 30. Stop by the Student Room and thank them for thier wonderful years in ministry and all that God has done through them.
