"Making All Things New" - Giving Tuesday

This year, our Giving Tuesday campaign will go towards the restoration of our Sanctuary. This is one essential element of our larger "Making All Things New" post-storm campaign; other appeals may be necessary. While we await resolution from our insurance claims, we know additional funds will certainly be needed. Our goal for this project is $200,000 - this includes the purchase of new sanctuary seating, the funds necessary to complete the purchase of our magnificent new pipe organ (and the building prep work needed for installation), and new altar pieces to replace those that were damaged. We realize this is a difficult time for so many and we are extraordinarily grateful for any gift you may be able to make towards this goal. Even though Giving Tuesday is Dec 3, we encourage you to make your donation anytime in November. You can contribute online, or by sending a check to the church (with "Giving Tuesday" in the memo line). Please speak with Michael if you are able to consider stock or investment gifts. If we exceed our goal, funds will be put to the necessary restoration of other areas in the church. Thank you for your continued prayers and enthusiasm!

“Angel Tree” Christmas Gifts Kick-Off

Sunday, November 17

Benefiting Lutheran Services Florida Guardianship Program

The Angel Tree is up and decorated with 51 angels looking for a home. It is located in the Narthex as you walk into church. Stop by and pick one (or more) to support the needy people served by the Guardianship Program of LSF. After selecting your angel(s), please write your name and phone number on the list on the clipboard next to the tree. Each angel has a number on the tag which corresponds to the number on the sign-up list. Purchase any or all the items listed on each angel and gift wrap them and attach the angel. Then simply return the wrapped gifts and place them under the Angel Tree. The final date for collecting the gifts is Sunday, December 8. Thank you in advance for your generous support.

Registration for the Women's Advent Luncheon will take place in the Narthex on Sunday, November 17th, November 24th, and December 1st.

Refugee Ministry Donations Needed

The Refugee Ministry is looking for any furniture that you would like to donate, such as mattresses and boxsprings and dressers. We have many new families arriving and our storage unit is low.

Please contact Nona Arnholt if you have any questions.

ORGAN UPDATE:

Last week, a team from the Schantz Organ Company traveled to Sarasota to remove our pipework from the back of the Sanctuary. These antiphonal pipes, so lovingly donated by Art & Helen Kuh, will be sent back to the workshop in Ohio, cleaned, restored, and incorporated into the new instrument! These beautiful pipes will continue to sing for generations!

SAKLC Training to Go Tutorials

are Available Online

St. Armands Key Lutheran Church Technology Training

Print copies of SAKLC Training to Go tutorials have been available in the narthex by the hallway for the past three months. Training to Go is a series of short, self-paced tutorials with clear, step-by-step directions and illustrations designed with our technology beginners in mind. These tutorials focus on the skills and strategies needed to access church information and participate in online worship services, events, and activities.

The Training to Go tutorials are now available online through our new SAKLC training hub. The hub aims to provide training and resources using various technologies supporting SAKLC. Four tutorials are currently available. Three of them address accessing both live and past worship services.

You can access the SAKLC training hub directly at https://www.slslearningoptions.com/saklctechtraining/ or click the button below.

The training hub will be available on the SAKLC website shortly. Other training opportunities will follow based on newly introduced technologies and the congregants' needs. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact Ladd Skelly at techtraining@saklc.com.
