Recognize a Worthy Student, Instructor

Each year ATEC partners with the Northrop Rice Foundation, JSfirm.com, and Snap-on to recognize outstanding educators and promising aviation professionals as the James Reardon Aviation Maintenance Technician Student of the Year and the Ivan D. Livi Aviation Maintenance Educator of the Year.

The awards recognize individuals who make a direct, positive impact on their peers and community through academic excellence, volunteerism, and professionalism.

Recipients will be recognized at the 2025 ATEC Annual Conference. In addition to the cash award, winners receive a plaque, complimentary registration, and travel reimbursement to the ATEC Annual Conference, being held March 17 in Norfolk, VA. The deadline to submit a nomination is January 15, 2025.

Choose Aerospace Scholarships

Choose Aerospace is currently accepting applications for its annual scholarship program. Awards for students, educators, and schools are available. They will provide educators and future aviators with scholarships, textbooks, training systems, tools, and testing fee credits.

The non-profit organization is in its sixth award season. This year's donors include Aviation Institute of Maintenance (AIM), ARCS Aviation, Aeronautical Repair Station Association (ARSA), Aviation Supplies & Academics (ASA), Aviation Workforce Solutions, Nida Corporation, AVOTEK, Aircraft Technical Book Company, CertTEC, Snap-on, Sonic Tools, Northrop Rice Foundation, and ASTM International.

Eligible applicants must be planning to attend, be enrolled at, or teach in an aviation technical program. Only ATEC members, their instructors, and enrolled students are eligible to apply. The deadline to apply is February 1.
