Welcome to Our November Newsletter!
| |
Dear All,
Welcome to November! As we move into the final stretch of the year, we’ve turned our clocks back, giving us an extra hour to ease into the new season. While change can be challenging, it's often a welcome reset, and we hope you’re finding comfort in the transition to shorter days and cooler weather. A gentle reminder: if you haven't done so yet, don't forget to switch to winter tires before December 1st, as this is a legal requirement in Quebec.
This month, we take time to reflect. On November 11th, we observe Remembrance Day, honoring those who have bravely served to protect Canada and our freedoms. We are deeply grateful for their sacrifices.
November 19th is National Grief and Bereavement Day, an opportunity to connect and support one another. The Canadian Hospice Palliative Care Association offers resources for those coping with loss, and we invite you to help raise awareness and understanding.
On a community note, the Annual Christmas Hamper Campaign officially launched on November 1st. This year, SSEN-MCDC has partnered with Jeffery Hale to bring support to families in need in our community across Lévis. We hope you’ll join us in making this holiday season a little brighter for our community.
Throughout November, expect a bit more communication from us than usual! You’ll receive details about the Christmas Hamper Campaign, a Wellness Newsletter focusing on parental burnout, and an Employment Insights survey to help us support better English-speaking job seekers in the Chaudière-Appalaches region.
And of course, this newsletter includes a full overview of our November activities planned just for you!
Thank you for staying connected with us and for being a valued part of our community. Stay warm, stay safe, and as always, we’re grateful to have you with us.
Warm regards,
Olena and Melissa

This special week aims to give a voice to the approximately 514,747 young children in Quebec and to make early childhood a true societal priority. It's an opportunity for all of us to pause and reflect on early childhood in Quebec, considering the actions we can take to ensure that all our children start life with the best possible chances.
