The Beautification Committee of the Salem Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to honor Arnold, Loretta & Esther Puckett of 721 West State Street with the September Yard of the Month Award. The Puckett family finds joy in working together to maintain their yard, often engaging in friendly competition with their neighbors. Positioned along a busy main street, their lawn is beautifully framed by hydrangeas, marigolds, roses, begonias and dragon wing flowers.   

The Salem Area Chamber of Commerce Beautification Committee has awarded the September Business of the Month award to Horst Sandwich Co. located at 1128 West State Street, Salem. The front façade of the business is neatly kept and decorated with inviting furniture. Flowerpots line the parking lot and are filled with vibrant colored geraniums, gerber daisies, four wing saltbush and lantana.
