Construction students motivated by meaningful projects

At Edgecombe Community College, Kevin Strickland’s students are putting it all together. That motivation has resulted in a spate of student-built construction projects that have enhanced life around the ECC campus and in the Edgecombe County community itself.

ECC celebrates Natural Hair Care grads

On Tuesday, a graduation was held for ten students who recently completed the Natural Hair Care class at ECC. Congratulations to Keshonda Aytch, Brittany Blackwell, Jermia Bunn, Cheri Carter, Anyah Harris, Brittany Holloman, Ersla Phelps, Tasha Richardson, Miracle Tyson, and Angela Whitted! We can’t wait to see the positive impact you will make in the world of natural hair care!

Register now for summer camps for kids

Register your students in grades K-9 for summer camps at ECC! Four-day camps meet June-July. Cost is $80 each camp: Lost in Space, Color My World, STEM-Elementary, STEM-Middle, Cake Decorating and Desserts, Electronics CAMP, Beach Party, Superhero Training Camp, CSI Camp, and Firefighter Training Camp.

Wilson Street closure starts June 3

Due to road construction efforts led by the North Carolina Department of Transportation, part of Wilson Street in Tarboro is set to close from Monday, June 3, through Friday, June 7. The closure will be between Benson Drive and Barlow Street. The red dotted line is the affected area. It may be necessary to take alternative routes to ECC's Tarboro campus during this time.
