PROGRESS IS BEING MADE!

Dear SAKLC Family & Friends,

How wonderful it was that this past weekend, on Reformation Sunday, we were able to gather for our first in-person worship service since September. It was a festive, joy-filled service! We are grateful to the Belfor team for meeting their remediation goals, allowing us to gather back in our Sanctuary.

We are happy to report the remediation & testing phases of our restoration process are now complete! As you saw on Sunday, we certainly have a lot of work ahead of us, but we are moving forward!

Our Church Council has formed a Restoration Committee; this group will work to assess all of the replacement needs in the church and make important recommendations for consideration by the Council. We are grateful to the members of the team for this important work: Doug Engebretson, Karen Randolph, Tom Siegfried, Ann Walborn, Michael Bodnyk, Ernie Smith, and Pr. Blyth.

Shortly, you will be hearing information about our 2024 Giving Tuesday campaign to be launched during the month of November. This year, our campaign's specific focus will be to help SAKLC restore our beautiful Sanctuary and Narthex.

You may have heard that the annual "Holiday Night of Lights" (aka "Christmas on the Circle") has been cancelled this year. Unfortunately, due to the significant power and infrastructure problems from the storms, the St. Armands Circle Association cannot produce the event this year. BUT ... please keep Friday, Dec. 6 at 7pm on your calendars -- SAKLC will be hosting a very special Christmas event that evening with a live nativity! More information will come soon.

Please keep watching for our electronic updates via "Connections" emails and our Facebook for the most up-to-date information. Although our church staff continues to work mostly remotely, please remember you can reach out to us anytime via phone or email.

Lastly, we are sincerely grateful for your continued support, encouragement, and enthusiasm as we move forward together!

-SAKLC Leadership

On All Saints Day, we celebrate the victory won for all the faithful dead, but we grieve for our loved ones as well, knowing that God honors our tears. We Bring our grief to the table and find there a foretaste of Isaiah's feast to come. (Sundays and Seasons)

St. Armands Key Lutheran Church would like to remember your loved one(s) by reading their name(s) aloud at our All Saints worship services (Sunday, November 3rd at either 9am or 11am). Please send the name(s) of your loved ones and indicate which service you would like their name(s) to be read at to nina@saklc.com by Friday, November 1.
