Hello everybody,
It is me, Fr. Loi, your associate pastor.
Fr. Jeff’s partial knee replacement surgery went well yesterday and he returned home to the rectory in the afternoon. He is doing very well and had his first home health care and physical therapy session today. By all reports, he has entered recovery seamlessly. He wanted me to share the following with you.
“Hello everybody! Thank you for your thoughts and prayers! I am doing great, even better than I expected. I am following doctors orders and hope to return to some ministry within the next few weeks. I appreciate your continued prayers, love, and concern. I do trust God’s providence and am thankful for his grace, the skill of my surgeon and medical professionals, and the support of family, friends, and especially, my mom. I will continue to keep you in my prayers, as well. God be with us all!”
This Friday, November 1, is All Saints Day. This Solemnity is a Holy Day of Obligation. Mass times are Noon and 7:00 pm. This is one of my favorite feasts, for it inspires me to learn from the saints’ examples and to be the saint God intends me to be. I encourage you all to join us for this wonderful celebration.
All Souls Prayer Service of Remembrance is on Saturday, November 2, at 10 am. We will remember and pray for all our deceased loved ones, especially those from our community who have gone before us this past year.
The 40 Days for Life Prayer campaign concludes this Sunday, November 3. Thank you to our Disciples for Life ministry for coordinating prayer and providing a variety of resources on every stage of life, from conception to natural death. Thank you to everyone who filled bags to support Little Way Pregnancy Resource Center and Lifehouse Maternity Home.
I hope you all enjoy Fall and do not try to count the falling leaves as I did.
God bless,
Fr. Loi
