Introducing Fuse Flex Space: new co-working concept opens in Chandler offering both office and industrial space

A grand opening ceremony was held last week for Fuse Flex Space, a dynamic co-working facility tailored specifically for local entrepreneurs and business owners looking for flexible workspace.

Located at 2700 S. Gilbert Road in the Airpark Area employment corridor, Fuse Flex Space features 8,000 square feet of private office space and 20,000 square feet of air-conditioned warehouse space. It also has six fully equipped meeting spaces that accommodate teams of 2 - 40 people and a kitchen/lobby area that can host events of up to 75 people.

Fuse Flex Space offers co-working options and virtual mail, providing local businesses a professional address and mail management. Its key differentiating feature, however, is the hybrid office concept, which includes private offices along with dedicated warehouse space. This unique blend ensures that entrepreneurs can integrate all of their workspace requirements under one roof.

ICYMI: Arizona's first Seafood City Supermarket coming to Chandler Fashion Center

Seafood City, a popular supermarket chain known for its Filipino specialties and various Asian offerings, was recently announced as a new Chandler Fashion Center tenant. The supermarket is set to open in 2025 and will occupy 65,000 square feet on the upper level of the former Sears store. Round1 Bowling & Arcade, announced earlier this year, is currently under construction on the lower level of the former Sears box.

With the addition of Seafood City, all of the anchor spaces at Chandler Fashion Center are now fully leased. In its Q2 2024 earnings call, mall owner Macerich reported that traffic was up 20% for the year as a result of the fall 2023 opening of Scheels, which involved the renovation and expansion of a former Nordstrom space. Beyond Chandler Fashion Center's strong performance, the broader retail market in Chandler is currently thriving. Retail vacancy in Chandler is near a record low at only 4.7%, per CoStar's commercial real estate database.

State law requires the city's General Plan to be adopted and ratified every 10 years. Chandler's current General Plan was adopted by the Mayor and City Council in 2016, and so the city has started preparing for its next General Plan update.

The city has hired consulting firm Logan Simpson Design, Inc. to conduct the General Plan update. The city and consultant will begin assembling a Resident Advisory Committee and participation plan to engage the public and encourage resident and stakeholder feedback. The goal is to have the City Council adopt the update in the spring of 2026 and have it ratified by Chandler voters in the August 2026 election.
