Franciscan Health Cardiology Olympia Fields is hosting free weekly smoking cessation group meetings aimed at helping smokers kick the habit. The meetings help smokers learn proven strategies for success in quitting for good, develop a personal plan for quitting, minimize withdrawal symptoms and begin living a new, healthy lifestyle. Are you feeding stray cats or finding too many kittens in your neighborhood? Join Collette Walker from Triple R Pets and learn how you can help community cats live safer, healthier lives outside. We will discuss TNR (trap/neuter/return) and review trapping, transporting, and recovering feral and stray cats. You'll also earn how to humanely stop the reproduction of unwanted kittens that fill our animal shelters. A list of low-cost spay/neuter clinics will be provided to help you make appointments for community cats. A hands-on-the-traps experience is provided.

The Community Services Foundation's Christmas in July 5K is dashing your way on July 25th! Mark your calendars to participate in a professionally timed run through our USATF certified course in Orland Park's beautiful Grassland Forest Preserve, then grab a few refreshments after to celebrate your success. All proceeds raised directly support local adults with developmental disabilities at CTF Illinois. Not a runner? Not to worry! Our 5K is open to anyone who wants to participate - even if walking is more your speed. Pre-Registration is highly encouraged. 100% of proceeds support adults with intellectual disabilities in the area.
