Breads from around the world

This Sunday we will celebrate World Communion Sunday by adorning the Lord’s Table with homemade breads from around the world. Thank you to those who are baking bread for us to enjoy.

With jenny's leadership and love, the children will make the three different kinds of breads we will serve during Holy Communion on Sunday. The other homemade breads will be served at Coffee Hour following worship.

Get out the vote

Join folks at the Hanover Panera on Route 53 at 6:00pm on Friday, October 4 to write “get out the vote” postcards. It’s a fun and easy way to help encourage everyone to vote; customized postcards and address labels provided.

Side with Love

Join members and friends of UCC Norwell and First Parish in Norwell Center at this season's final “Side With Love” from 8:00-10:00am on Saturday, October 5 on the River Street overpass in Norwell. We’ll hang banners and share the love with drivers going north and south on Route 3 and those passing by on River Street. Let’s make it a big Saturday love fest!

What's in Project 2025?

"What's in Project 2025?" will be a presentation of the key elements of Project 2025 by local attorney, Christopher DiOrio. This nonpartisan presentation will be held at the United Church of Christ in Norwell (460 Main Street) on Thursday, October 10 from 7-8:30 pm and is sponsored by its Racial and Social Justice Team. Attorney DiOrio will present a history of how Project 2025 came to be and share the stated core elements of governance and policy changes. A Q+A period will follow his presentation, and light refreshments will be provided. Registration is requested and is open and free to the public.

Veterans list and memorabilia request

Veterans list

In the program booklet for our upcoming Veterans Concert, we will be including a list of past and present veterans within our congregation (no relatives, please). Please check the list below and let Debbie Wheeler know of any additions.

Memorabilia request

Also we're planning to set up a table in Fellowship Hall the day of the concert, November 11, with armed services memorabilia from veterans in the congregation. Any veterans willing to share their memorabilia (uniforms, hats, medals, photos, etc.) for the day, please notify Barbara Northrop. Memorabilia can be brought in the day of the concert and will be kept safe with someone at the table throughout the concert. Items may be picked up at conclusion of reception or the following Sunday.
