Dear LaShanda,

With the end of 2024 in sight, I would like to take a moment to share my deepest gratitude for all of those who have supported our efforts this year. As we quickly gear up for the holidays, I am encouraged by the tremendous community support and dynamic leaders working together to help us achieve our mission. From the OC Food Bank to our Family Resource Centers, families are finding resources to stabilize, sustain and empower themselves to achieve a better future.

I am also excited to share the launch of a new series, From the President’s Desk, where I will share monthly updates on our work and the issues impacting the communities we serve. The first video is now live and available for viewing HERE.

None of our work would be possible without the support of community members like you. Whether it be by donating, volunteering, or using your voice to make a difference, I encourage you to stay informed and take action as we approach the holidays, a time of great need for our community.

With gratitude,

October is Energy Awareness Month!

Throughout this month our Energy and Environmental Services (EES) Department is celebrating Energy Awareness Month! More specifically, we are using this opportunity to highlight the important work our Weatherization program does across Orange County.

Our EES team brings essential home improvements to low-income homes to increase home health, safety, and efficiencies. This includes things like replacing windows and doors, upgrading insulation, installing low-flow showerheads, and much more!

For more on Energy Awareness Month, be sure to follow us on social media (Facebook/Instagram) as we continue to highlight the work of our EES team!
