Eat a Variety of Foods: Include fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins in your diet to ensure balanced nutrition. Learn more from the CDC.
-
Stay Hydrated: Drinking enough water is essential for overall health. Aim for 8-10 glasses per day, and more if you are physically active. Check hydration guidelines from NIH.

Limit Processed Foods: Processed foods often contain added sugars, unhealthy fats, and excess sodium. Opt for fresh, whole foods to support your health and reduce risks of chronic diseases. Nutrition Fact: The American Heart Association recommends limiting added sugars to no more than 25 grams (6 teaspoons) per day for women and 36 grams (9 teaspoons) for men. Learn more here.
-
Portion Control: Be mindful of portion sizes to prevent overeating, especially when eating out. Use smaller plates or bowls to help control portions. Get tips from the NIH.
-
Choose Healthy Fats: Opt for unsaturated fats found in olive oil, nuts, and avocados, and reduce intake of saturated and trans fats. Explore healthy fat options from the NIH.
