God's love.

HURRICANE RESPONSE
In light of Hurricanes Helene and Milton, we naturally ask ourselves, "How can we help?" As we know from experience, it is important we match our gifts/resources with actual needs. At this time, we know our sisters and brothers from South Florida to Western North Carolina need prayer and resources. The clergy of Christ Church will donate funds to the discretionary funds of local pastors who can disperse the money where it is needed most. If you would like to add a donation to the money we will be sending, you may mail in a check payable to Christ Church with "Hurricane" on the memo or give here (please select Outreach).

CONSECRATION SUNDAY IS THIS SUNDAY!
This day has two important elements: the people coming forward to lay their pledges on the Altar as a sacrificial act of gratitude and faithfulness and a celebratory meal after both services. Children are welcome at both meals, and the nursery will be available during breakfast following the 8:00 AM service. After the 10:30 AM service, there will be activities for children ages 4 through 8th grade in Shelley’s Space (adjacent to the Currin Center).
Our guest preacher will be the Very Rev. Timothy Kimbrough. Rev. Kimbrough is the Director of the Anglican Episcopal House of Studies and the Jack and Barbara Bovender Professor of the Practice of Anglican Studies at Duke University.
There are four ways to place your pledge on the Altar for the blessing on Consecration Sunday:
1. Attend the 8 AM or 10:30 AM service on Consecration Sunday (October 27th).
2. Mail the card using the stamped envelope included in the letter sent out.
3. Drop off your card by the church office between 9 AM and 3 PM, Monday through Friday.
4. Complete a confidential online pledge card. The pledge card can be found at the link below or on the website (www.christ-church.net).
To submit your pledge card online, please click here.
Please RSVP for Consecration Sunday to help us with a head count for food.
Please fill out a card even if you will not be able to attend.

ALTAR FLOWER DEDICATIONS
Each week our worship service is enhanced with beautiful fresh flowers. After the Sunday services, the altar flower arrangements are reworked into smaller arrangements. These arrangements are delivered to members of our parish family that are unable to attend a Sunday service. The altar flowers are a memorial, a thanksgiving for an anniversary, a birthday, a new birth, or a thanksgiving for God's blessings. The donation is listed in the weekly bulletin. Forms to participate in this ministry are available here and on the information table in the Parish Hall.

It is easy to feel alone or disconnected, so reach out to one of the priests or someone at the church to say hello. Contact Rev. Katie if you or anyone you know has any needs.
