The Apostle Paul opens his epistle to the Church at Philippi with an expression of gratitude for those in the Faith. It is marvelous to watch those that are sincere in their walk of faith embrace both the joy and burden of service to the Body of Christ. That service is not recognized or at least acknowledged enough, not as a stroke to one’s ego, but rather as encouragement to remain faithful as stated in verse ten of this passage.
I personally so appreciate the work each of you offer, driven by your love Christ. People celebrate today for most everything, and yet the most important service to man (the sharing of the gospel) is not. Whatever your role in the Body of Christ, I take this time to “Thank You.” Janitors for the buildings and spaces of worship, thank you, Christians educators - instructor/facilitators, thank you, ministers of music (players of instruments, voices), thank you, door keepers/greeters/ushers, thank you, pastors/preachers/ministers, thank you, mentors/committee members, thank you, regular attendees (in person, virtual), thank you, prayer warriors, thank you. From the least to least, thank you to the Glory and Praise of God!
