Course Invoicing - Reminder of the Changes to SFT Processes

On July 1, 2024, State Fire Training (SFT) moved to a new process for returning course rosters and generating and paying invoices.

For the new invoicing feature to work properly, persons responsible for paying invoices on behalf of an agency must create an SFT ID and portal account and submit a request to be added to an organization's record as an approved invoice payor.

See the SFT User Portal WebForms page to access both the SFT ID Request form and the Agency Billing Contact Request form.

Minimum Class Size Requirement Reminder

Per section 5.1.5.B of the SFT Procedures Manual, "For Courses with less than five (5) students, the Registered instructor shall acquire SFT approval prior to course instruction."

SFT urges instructors and agencies to increase outreach to meet the minimum of five students for quality instruction. If extenuating circumstances arise, you must e-mail the Course Scheduler your request for a delivery with less than five students, explaining the outreach steps you took and how you feel you will still meet the ELOs and TLOs with the reduced class-size delivery.

Deviation from this policy shall result in a Letter of Warning issued to the Registered Instructor(s) and Host Agency.

This course provides the knowledge and skills that will prepare emergency services

personnel to engage in triage and direct peer-based communication for suicide prevention.

All training is intended to equip personnel to provide support, help, and encouragement in
