We Sow And Then We Reap

Greetings Ministry Partners,

We sow and then we reap. Sometimes, it takes months or even years to see the fruit of our labor. For example, we held a Teacher Training Workshop (TTW) in Davao City in 2022 but nothing seemed to happen. Then suddenly, last month, after two years, one of the participants contacted me and said he would start a class in South Cotabato, 220 km away from Davao! And so it is important just to keep sowing and trusting that the seeds will grow in God’s appointed time and, perhaps, at a distant place. Pastor Joel Bastes is now teaching a class in Koronadal in South Cotabato. Praise the Lord!

We appreciate your prayers and support.

New Classes & Class Visits

Pastor Joel Bastes (in white shirt seated in the back) started a class of six students in Koronadal in May. He attended a TTW in Davao two years ago.

Pastor Dominto started a new class with four students in Lantapan, Bukidnon.

The team in South Central Mindanao, led by Pastor Lito Repaso, visited and revived a class in Koronadal, which had stopped due to the pandemic. Pastor Art Robles and Pastor Hermes Acain will follow up with this class.

Training

Last month, we held three Teacher Training Workshops (TTWs). Pastor Val Abellanosa held a TTW in Salay, Misamis Oriental, with three participants. One of our teachers, Pastor Alan Gabe of Gusa Baptist Church, assisted him. I held a TTW in Tagaytay with one participant, Pastor Joel Ruiz. I also held a TTW with Pastor Ed Lumanog at our house. Pastor Ed used to minister in Coron, Palawan. He had a CCI class there, but it stopped when the students moved to other cities for work. Pastor Ed has since moved to Bulacan and is now pastoring there. He would like to start another class to equip other leaders. He will also help me promote CCI training in Palawan and Bulacan.

Conferences

During the Teachers’ Conference in April, the teachers in Northern Mindanao committed to organizing the alumni and mobilizing them for ministry expansion. Some of them met again in May to begin putting these plans into action. As a first step, they are organizing a sports fellowship in October to gather and connect with the alumni. Let’s pray that this will result in an expansion of the ministry in other areas of Mindanao.

The photo above shows the main people involved in planning the CCIP National Conference. We met online to work out the final details of the conference's preparations.

Rejoice with us!

On May 4th, we baptized nine new believers at a resort in Bustos, Bulacan. Most of them are the fruit of the Bible studies at our home and neighborhood. They are now attending worship services at our church.
