Where can you learn to build a sustainable, prosperous, next-generation association that will keep members coming back for more, while mixing and mingling with your peers? Join us for our 2013 Holiday Event on Dec. 5-6 at The Osthoff Resort and find out.

Our Tabletop Showcase and Reception featuring a variety of our industry partners will get the celebration started. At the Annual Awards Dinner, we'll take time to recognize those individuals who have played keys roles in not only the organization, but the association industry as well.

Sarah Sladek, author of The End of Membership as We Know It, will join us on Dec. 6 to discuss how the definition and delivery of membership has changed and what we need to do to engage and retain our members.

Table tops and sponsor opportunities still available.

WSAE is proud to partner with Institute for Organization Management, the U.S. Chamber's professional development program for non-profit executives, and offer two $500 partial tuition scholarships to one of Institute's 2014 sites. The two scholarships, available to any WSAE member, will be awarded to students attending Institute for the first time to assist with enrollment fees and cannot be combined with any other Institute scholarships.

Contact Michelle Czosek, at mczosek@wsae.org by Nov. 18 for more information on scholarships for Winter Institute.

Bring wish list items to the Holiday Event

When LeAnn Boudwine heard from her sons who were deployed overseas that some soldiers were not receiving mail, she was compelled to send additional packages to those troops. The momentum continued, even when her children returned home, and Support the Troops WI was created. The organization has grown from a one-room operation at her home to a donated store front with many volunteers. All of the items for the care packages and postage are from donations. To date, more than 5,600 care packages (that's about $62,000 in postage) have been sent to our troops deployed all around the world.

WSAE will welcome LeAnn during the awards dinner at the Holiday Event. We ask you to support our troops by packing a few wish-list items in your luggage and bringing them to the Holiday Event. For more information on Support the Troops and a complete list of Wish List items, visit www.supportthetroopswi.com/donate/wishlist/.
