Architect-Client Dialogue:

Exploring Collaboration Best Practices

Our 2024 Lecture Series is a series of conversations between owners and architects discussing successes, challenges, and the obstacles they overcame in order to create brilliant projects together.

ONLY TWO EVENTS LEFT!
Upcoming Events

September 19th | 6pm - 7:30pm

2024 Lecture Series: Modular & Prefab

Explore how modular and prefabrication techniques are revolutionizing the built environment, offering flexibility, sustainability, and affordability, through projects such as the MacArthur Annex.

October 1st | 12pm - 1pm

Skin in the Game: Paths to Ownership (1 LU)

This panel discussion will focus on the business side of equity: how creating value in an A+D practice not only helps to attract and retain staff, but also, more importantly, provides paths to ownership. By creating equity and viable pathways for others to share the responsibilities and the rewards of owning and running a firm, founders can grow their business; plan for succession (and eventually, retirement), and/or leave behind a legacy.

October 3rd | 3pm - 4:30pm

Mosswood Park Community Center Design Tour

Join us for a construction tour of Mosswood Park’s new Community Center! The Park and Center will be inclusive of a diverse community of users, accessible, flexible in use, and thoughtfully designed. The building will meet programming, life safety and accessibility requirements within an efficient footprint, to minimize negative impact to the park experience and mature canopy trees.

October 10th | 6pm - 7:30pm

Starting Your Own Firm (1.5 LU)

Join our Young Architects Forum / Small Firm Forum round-table to discuss with three panelists their lessons learned from starting their own practice. After each architect gives a brief introduction of themselves, the meeting will evolve into an interactive session of questions and observations from those in attendance. This panel will be in person only, with no virtual component, so be sure to secure your tickets ASAP!

October 19th | 6pm - 7:30pm

2024 Lecture Series: Single Family

Join us for the final Lecture Series panel of the year!

This project type allows for the exploration of ideas at an intimate scale – join us for a discussion between architect and client about how projects such as “Butterfly House” came to be.
