Medical Aid in Dying Postcard Writing

Join fellow UUs throughout NY in urging state lawmakers to enact the NY Medical Aid in Dying Act, known as MAiD. All Souls members advocating for the legislation will offer information and ready-made postcards for you to send your state lawmakers after services on April 28th and May 5th

Adult Education: Sound Studies & Mindfulness

This 4-session course teaches you about the fundamental principles of sound and how it interacts with our environment and bodies. You will also discover how to tune into sound to enhance your mindfulness and develop meditation practices around sonics. Our expert instructor, Jacob Rudin will guide you through various techniques and exercises to help you build your listening skills and deepen your understanding of the power of sound.

Friendship Circle for People Who Have Lost a Partner or Spouse

If you have lost a partner or spouse and are seeking new friendships, please join lay facilitator Christina Darnowski for our Friendship Circle. We will open our meetings with a short reading or meditation, support each other, cultivate new connections, and spread some joy! Please join us.

Women's Alliance Spring Event

Diane Taraz, a noted singer, songwriter, author and researcher of early New England history, will lead us in an exploration of women’s history through folk songs. Even when women left few written records, we can learn much about them through the music that they used to speed their work, sing a child to sleep, or ease an aching heart.

Caregiver Support Circle

Sunday, April 28th | 3 PM | Zoom


Our Caregivers Circle gathers once a month on zoom to learn, share stories, laugh, connect and ask questions of each other. Whether caring for a friend, a spouse, a loved one, whether old or young, it can be a lonely experience. Come and connect with others who will understand. We meet on the 4th Sunday of the month at 3PM on Zoom. Please email Susan Cooper at sjhcoop@gmail.com to discuss whether this group will be a good fit for you. You will receive access to the Zoom meeting through your email.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Musica Viva NY and the All Souls Choir announce auditions for volunteer chorus positions for the 24-25 season! All voice parts are encouraged to audition. The ideal auditionee will have strong sight reading skills and choral singing experience.

New Amsterdam Boys and Girls Choir Annual Spring Concert

The New Amsterdam Boys and Girls Choir (NABGC) has been involved in the All Souls community for over twenty years. Its purpose is to enrich the lives of children in the East Harlem community, using choral singing as a catalyst.



On Saturday, May 4, at 6:00 p.m., the NABGC will give its annual spring concert. During coffee hour tickets for the concert will be available for purchase. We hope that you will be able to attend. If not, please consider donating!

Article II Discussion

This will be the third opportunity to discuss the proposed revisions to Article II of the UUA Bylaws, sponsored by All Souls veteran GA delegates, the Deacons, and the Women’s Alliance.


Everyone is invited to join us in a Zoom discussion of the proposed revisions of Article II of the UUA Bylaws. We will begin at 5:30 with a watch party, screening several of the video/slide shows about the revisions. Then, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. we’ll have an open discussion.

All Souls publishes two email newsletters: The All Souls Weekly, the Friday email which announces upcoming events for the next week; and Today at All Souls, which arrives at 8 am every morning and includes the Zoom information for events that day. We also produce a weekly Buddhism & Mindfulness newsletter and a weekly Education newsletter.
