Dear Residents -

Did you know that every Wednesday morning at 8:45 am I am a guest on “The Morning Show with Will & Jeff” radio show on WRCR AM 1700? We talk about everything Orangetown and more, and take calls from listeners who have a question or comment. Feel free to listen next Wednesday and maybe even call in with a question or, better yet, a compliment.😊

If you are looking for something to do tomorrow, look no further. Start your day at the Pearl River Farmers Market. It runs from 10 am to 2 pm at the Central Avenue Field in Pearl River. But be sure to shop fast so that you can make it to Piermont in time for the Dennis P. McHugh Piermont Library Spring Craft Fair. It runs from 11 am to 2 pm, and there will be handmade items, unique gifts and kids’ activities.

If you looking for something a little more physical to do, you can volunteer with the Sparkill Creek Watershed Alliance, in conjunction with the Hudson River Estuary Program, to help with the streamside buffer planting in Tappan. They will be meeting at 9:30 am at the Tappan Reform Church. If you go, please dress for the weather and, while shovels will be provided, feel free to bring your own hand tools. To register or learn more, please click here.

For Orangetown residents who are 60 years or older, remember that next Thursday is the Second Annual Golden Gala from 2 pm to 6 pm at the Rockland GAA. The cost is $30 per person and includes a hot buffet, dessert, coffee, tea, soda and live music by Desi Murphy – he is a fantastic musician, so be sure to wear your dancing shoes! To RSVP or for more information, click here.

Lastly, for those of you who are following the chronicles of Rockland Cider Works (RCW), be advised that the hearing scheduled for next week’s Town Board meeting is being adjourned, at the request of the applicant, to the June 25, 2024 Town Board meeting. To be continued…

Whatever you decide to do this weekend, enjoy!

Regards –
