Presidents' Letter

Hello, Ogden families!

Less than a week until our 2024-2025 school year begins! The PTC has already held our first event - thank you to the New Family Welcome committee chairs, Madelyn Dow and Margaret Keenan, for putting on a great event to help welcome new families to our Ogden community!

Next Friday is our annual Back to School Bash from 5:30 - 7:30 pm. We are still in need of a number of volunteers to help during the event and are at risk of not having inflatables if we cannot find people to help supervise! Please consider signing up for a one-hour shift HERE.

Our Ogden PTC is full of dedicated volunteers - but we cannot do it without help from all of YOU! Here are some upcoming ways you can help support our mission to enrich the educational and extracurricular opportunities for our kids:

Purchase spirit wear or support our Playground Renovation efforts

There will be many more ways to get involved throughout the year and if you don't see one that fits your needs - reach out and we will find a place for you!

Back to School Bash & Book Fair

Friday, August 23, 2024

5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Kick off the school year with games, music & fun...all funded by your PTC Dues at Work! Food available for purchase. Book fair in the gym.

We are looking for donations for the always popular Treat Walk and volunteers to assist in making this memorable event a success. To sign up to volunteer, please click HERE.

Food tickets are for sale for $8 HERE and each ticket includes choice of burger (with or without cheese) or hot dog (limited vegetarian hot dogs also available), chips and a drink. Food Tickets can also be purchased at the event and there will be other treat options for sale (cash or credit).

Book Fair Volunteers

We are so excited to host an Anderson's bookshop book fair Friday, Aug. 23, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the Ogden gym during the Back to School Bash!

We are thrilled to welcome Marla’s Lunches back at Ogden two Thursdays per month. Enjoy a day of not making lunches while kids enjoy their favorite foods from local restaurants! How does it all work? See the FAQ's HERE.

Help make Marla’s Lunches a success! We need 10 volunteers for each of the 16 lunch dates to help sort and distribute lunches. If you (or a significant other, grandparent, or caregiver) are free on Thursdays from 10:45 a.m. to Noon, please sign up for a lunch date (or more than one) and join in the fun! Mum Sale

A Fall Mum Sale Fundraiser is coming to Ogden!

All proceeds will go towards the school playground fund.

A pre-sale will be going on NOW through September 3rd.

Save the Date for Tour de Ogden

Tune up those ten speeds and save the date for the Tour de Ogden set to take place at 11:15 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 22.

Our panther pack will meet at Ogden for a ride that will roll through Harding Woods while raising funds for the PTC. The La Grange Park Police Department will be on hand to register bikes and offer a safety talk. Bike decorations, volunteers and hydration stations along the route are welcome and join us on the blacktop for lunch following the ride (tickets will be available for purchase in advance with registration).

CPCFRO Athletics for 5th/6th Graders

CPCFRO is an athletics program within District 102 that introduces volleyball and basketball to 5th and 6th graders. The 5th/6th grade fall session is coming up (girls play basketball and boys play volleyball). Registration details coming soon!

Did your Panther grow over the summer? It's a good thing that spirit wear is restocked for back to school.

Yearbook Photos

Throughout the year we will rely heavily on our Ogden families to submit photos for consideration in the 2024/25 school yearbook.

We utilize an app called "ReplayIt." It is a simple way to upload photos from your phone or submit via their website. Further details and instructions on how to use ReplayIt can be found HERE.

Please note that yearbooks are ordered from Feb - May through the Jostens website. Further details and reminders will be provided around that time via the Ogden PTC Newsletter and reminder emails.

If you do not order a yearbook through the Jostens website, we cannot guarantee extras will be available in June when they are handed out.

Red Sled Volunteer Needed

Do you:

- Own a Cricut machine?

- Love painting?

- Want to help the PTC but want the flexibility to do it on your own time in the comfort of your home?

- Don't mind thinking about winter in August???

If this sounds like you, we would love your help personalizing the red sleds for this year's fundraiser! The red sleds are one of the PTC's largest fundraisers and a beloved tradition in our community. With your help, we will be able to continue offering personalization of the sleds!
