SUNDAY SCHEDULE

2024 Schedule

From Sunday - 10:00 a.m.

What's In a Name

John 15:1

I am the True Vine

In the final week of our Look at the “I Am,” sayings of Jesus our passage expands on the idea of “abiding” in Jesus. He introduced it in the previous chapter when he spoke of the God’s house having many “rooms,” or “abiding places.” Now Jesus revisits the concept with a new metaphor: the vine and the branches.

The Reconciliation Ministry Special Offering is received each year on the last Sunday in September and the first Sunday in October (in solidarity with World Communion Sunday).

Funds generated by this special emphasis are used throughout the year to provide grants to ministries and congregations actively developing and implementing programs that promote our Church’s Pro-Reconciliation and Anti-Racist identity. These programs and efforts seek to reveal, re-educate, and remove systemic and structural barriers in our communities that serve to deny the image of God and human thriving based on race.

Leaders, communities, and our congregations are being equipped to witness to God’s love and justice in all times and in every season. The time is always ripe to stand up for justice to ensure that all of God’s children are treated equitably. Thank you for joining us on this journey through your generosity.

Outreach Project:

Operation Christmas Child

The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world. Through this project, Samaritan’s Purse partners with the local church worldwide to share the Good News of Jesus Christ and make disciples of the nations. Operation Christmas Child delivers great joy and the Good News of Jesus Christ to children in need around the world through gift-filled shoeboxes. Each box packed full of quality toys, school supplies, and personal care items becomes a tangible expression of God's immense love for the child. For many, it is their first gift ever! Delivered by our local church partners, shoebox gifts provide an opportunity to present the Gospel to boys and girls in a clear, child-friendly way. We will be providing boxes to children of all ages.

In October the church will host a “packing party” for all to join in the fun and pack the boxes for distribution in November.
