Curley Family Weekly Bulletin

Week of April May 6-12, 2024

See below to find out what is happening at Curley!

From the President

On this coming Sunday of the Easter Season we hear Jesus in the Gospel passage (John 15:9-17) wrap up his preaching and teaching in a very succinct way: “This I command you, love one another.”  It is amazing that the call to be concerned about others, to be kind to others, to serve others, to strive to make the world a better place, to do our best, can be summed up in “love one another.” The Curley Family thrives when it is based on familial love. The Brotherhood is most powerful when it is based on fraternal love. We as individuals more closely reach our potential when we have self-love (but not selfish love). As we celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week, we realize how the best teachers have a self-sacrificing love for their students, helping the student to gain not only knowledge, but also a greater understanding of his potential.  God bless our Curley faculty and staff.

From the Principal

May is a busy month and there are many events on the school calendar that will allow us to celebrate the successes and talents of our students. I hope that you will join us on campus for a concert or spring athletic contest. I look forward to seeing you here at school.

We will also be celebrating “Teacher Appreciation Week.” This is a great time for us to thank our faculty and staff members who give their best in service of our students and the mission of the school. I am blessed to work with such dedicated professionals, and I thank them for all they do to make Curley the special place that it is.
