Spotlight on Hill & Wilkinson General Contractors

Building a Vision.

As a general contractor for over half a century, we have steadily grown from a small business to a respected industry leader providing a full range of services in a variety of markets. From a simple maintenance project to the design-build of a fast-track facility, we deliver our projects with an attitude of service and accountability. With the desire to maintain meaningful relationships with our clients, we endeavor to do things the right way and to bring trust, honesty, and good, old-fashioned hard work to every project.

A Solid Foundation.

Luther Hill founded the firm in 1968 on the belief in strict standards for quality and safety. He gained national attention for building big business projects with a small business attitude. Greg Wilkinson and Fritz McKinstry carried on his legacy when they bought the company in 1985. Now, Mike Oswald, CEO, is leading the firm into the future with a commitment to retaining the culture and principles that have been central to our success. Many things have changed as we have evolved into a larger firm, but our philosophy and core values have remained the same - respect, quality, safety, commitment, training, fun, and community.

Our Services.

Hill & Wilkinson offers a full range of general contracting services under a variety of contractual arrangements including General Contractor, Construction Manager at Risk, Design-Build, or IPD (Integrated Project Delivery). Additional services include BIM/VDC coordination, MEP commissioning, and LEED management.

Empowering Our People.

Hill & Wilkinson’s ethical, forward-thinking workforce continues to build our reputation as a safe, high-quality construction firm. We are consistently ranked among the top 400 contractors in the US by Engineering News-Record and are regularly voted one of the top 10 “Best Places to Work” in Dallas-Fort Worth and Austin. Our assets are managed by the people who know our work best. We are invested in every project we take on and are passionate about achieving results that exceed expectations.

Cyndi Amador, Hill & Wilkinson's CFO, serves on the Chamber's Board of Directors.

Get To Know The Chamber Team

We thought our members would like to learn a bit more about the friendly faces that greet you at our office, events and meetings, so we're continuing this feature highlighting our dedicated staff!

Mallory Crumb, Director, Engagement and Business Relations

How long have you been with the chamber and what is your job?

This is my seventh year at the Chamber. I have worn a lot of hats, but now I am the Director of Engagement and Business Relations and work with the Business Advancement, Local Business Engagement and Workforce Development committees. I also help produce the Annual Meeting and EDGE (Economic Development, Growth and Entrepreneurship) Awards events.

What's your favorite thing about working at the Chamber?

I enjoy meeting and getting to know the awesome people in this community! I have made some great friends and connections during my time here.

Tell us about your family.

My husband Jake and I have two girls Charley (almost 7) and Caitlyn (4) and a 9-year-old terrier mix named Mia aka Mia Wallace Crumb aka Mia Tortilla.

What is a fun fact no one else knows?

I play guitar, mostly self-taught.

Where could we find you when you're not at work?

If I am not running kids to dance or a birthday party, I am usually at home trying to relax and watch Dateline.

Thank you, Mallory, for all you do to support and grow the chamber!

City Giving Away 500 Trees For Planting By Residents

To help replace the trees lost due to the severe weather event on May 28, 2024, the City Council is launching Richardson Replants. This program will help restore the city's tree canopy, which offers both shade and beauty throughout the community. The amount of damage sustained resulted in more than 260,000 cubic yards of vegetative debris, equivalent to the amount of material collected over four years of standard Brush and Bulky Item Collection.

This fall, 500 trees will be available, with three different species: Desert Willow, Chinkapin Oak and Peach. Spring giveaways are anticipated to offer an additional 500 trees and may offer other species, depending on availability from local nurseries. The fall and spring planting periods were chosen as they are the best time of year for establishing new trees.
