They say that April showers bring May flowers, but we think we're just going to be thrilled when all this pollen skedaddles and we can enjoy the upcoming summer season.

We want to be sure and wish all the moms a Happy Mother's Day (5/12), not forget to honor all the men and women who have given their lives for our country on Memorial Day (5/27) and take time for a fiesta to celebrate Cinco de Mayo (5/5). We're also all about some of those peculiar holidays out there, such as Star Wars Day (5/4 - may the Force be with you), Tear the Tags Off the Mattress Day (5/9 - are you not supposed to leave those things on?), Dance Like a Chicken Day (5/14 - we may pass on that one, or not) and International Tiara Day (5/24 - may need to dust that off so it sparkles brilliantly in the sun). Lastly, let's not forget that May is International Barbeque Month. Although, Texans would argue that we are lucky to be able to barbeque pretty much whenever we like so every month may as well be barbeque month. Don't put Baby in a corner over that one! Um, some may get that. (giggle)

We wanted to be sure and focus a bit on pool safety for May and have featured a video on pool safety along with an article about diving injuries. And, to keep it fun we've added some things to do in the Houston area in the coming month and let's not forget some ideas for the upcoming Memorial Day Holiday. Lest we forget, here are some noteworthy items for May:

*We are still seeing a lot of debris in skimmer and pump baskets, which can contribute to low circulation and the growth of algae. Please be sure to check, and empty, your baskets regularly (or in between service visits) and don't forget to look for any broken or cracked baskets. We have plenty of baskets in stock if you need one replaced!

*As the weather warms up, it's essential to have your water professionally tested at least once a month.. We offer free water testing and are here weekdays from 9 AM until 6 PM and Saturdays from 9 AM until 5 PM.
