Established in the Love of God: Serving God

John 13

We're continuing a series called Established. We're talking about what it means to have a relationship with God. What it means to build this close relationship, not just knowing things about God, but getting to know God personally. Each week, we've been looking at different things that God has given us to grow in our relationship with Him. Sunday we learn how service to others can help us grow closer to God.

Church on the Hill

We are excited that work is nearing completion. We are awaiting the doors and some painting.

Century Construction is the church's liaison to all of the contractors.

Leslie West is the church's liaison to Century Construction.

Please contact Leslie with any questions or concerns and she will pass them on to the contractor. Email or text is preferred at leslie@wwnash.com or 804-307-3282. With safety as a top priority, the area is a work zone so contractors and their employees should be the only persons in the area.  Century has requested one point of contact for all communications. Any conversation with Century must be handled by Leslie West.

Next Board Meeting:

CCINVA Assembly

Attend the Christian Church in Virginia Regional Assembly, June 1st

We as the members of the movement called the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) are more than simply a group of federated or stand-alone congregations. WE are more than NEUTRAL Christians who welcome all to the table. Our beginnings and purpose were born out of an intense passion to create a DIFFERENT kind of church experience in which wholeness and true "Body of Christ" unity could be lived out.

Take the opportunity this Summer to learn more about other Disciple congregations in Virginia and experience the strength we have when we meet together.

The Regional Assembly is a one day time of learning, worship, and community building. Contact Rev. Michael if you would like to attend with a group from Slash or you can register now.

Have You Ever Wondered How One Gets Started in Fostering Children and Youth?

HopeTree is in search of people like you to become a foster parent for a teen in your community. Foster care is temporary care for a young person during a time that he or she cannot live with his or her birth family. HopeTree provides you with the training, support, and resources you need in order to care for youth in foster care. To hear more about this opportunity, or for more information or to RSVP contact Dejene Young-el  or visit our website

You can schedule an individual virtual session for a day/time that works for you!
