Join us on May 4 for a morning of dabbling in needlework. Do you crochet, embroider, knit, cross stitch, tat, etc? Bring a project you are working on for a time to create, stitch, and join in fellowship with one another. We’ll meet in the church library.

Rite of Confirmation

Congratulations to our confirmands being confirmed this Sunday: Alexis Jones, Alysin Kinney, Henry Kistler, Natalie Riha, and Adalyn Thorstenson. Please join us for a cake reception afterwards in the church fellowship hall; our confirmands will read a portion of their Confirmation papers. Soup Supper & Spring Band Concert

Come and enjoy an afternoon/evening of music at Trinity Lutheran School’s Spring Band Concert! There will be two performances: 2:00 PM and 6:30 PM, both in the school gym.

Pokémon Club

Ascension Day Service

Parent's Night Out

Friday Fellowship

Parents, come and join us on May 10 after you drop the kids off at school. We meet in the church fellowship hall for coffee, devotions, and fellowship. We would love for you to join us! This will be the last Friday Fellowship for this school year.

Fill a Cup and Dunk an 8th Grader

NEW DATE: Friday, May 10

The Dunk an 8th Grader event has been postponed until Friday, May 10. Guess what? That means we have MORE time to fill our cups and make sure they all get dunked...including Mrs. Fischer and Pastor Groth! Bring in quarters and bills to fill the cups in the school entryway through Friday, May 10. The money will be used for the 8th graders' upcoming class trip. For every cup that is filled, an 8th grader will get dunked in the dunk tank at a 1:30 PM assembly on May 10.

Trinity Kernels Night

Saturday, May 18 | Meet at 5:30 PM

Let’s tailgate before the Kernels game! The Kernels are battling the Quad Cities River Bandits! Meet us in the school parking lot at 5:30 PM for delicious food (hosted by Trinity’s Youth), then head over to the game by 6:35 PM. Fireworks will cap off the evening.

Tickets are $12.00 each (a $4.00 savings) but must be purchased by May 17. Tickets are full price the day of the game. Kids 3 and under are free if they sit on a parent's lap. Purchase tickets online below; select the TRINITY LUTHERAN section of 115 or 116 when ordering. Singles Group

Hey Singles!  You're invited to join Zion Lutheran Church’s Singles Group for their next event on May 19 to play miniature golf at Twin Pines, 3800 42nd St NE, Cedar Rapids. We'll meet in the clubhouse. Please RSVP to Cindy Gewecke at 319-929-3077 so we can make a reservation. If the weather doesn't cooperate, we will meet at Zion at 1:00 pm to play games.

High Schoolers Invited to Concordia Seminary, St. Louis

Registration Deadline: Friday, May 24

Know a high school-age student who may be interested in church work someday? Please invite them to attend Vocatio: High School from June 22-29. This is a weeklong summer retreat that encourages 9th - 12th grade students to explore the many aspects of the Seminary, including worship and devotions, sessions with professors, and even some fun and recreation. Registration costs $100 and closes May 24!

Vacation Bible School (VBS) 

June 10-13 | 9:00-11:00 AM

Sign up today for VBS! Jesus gives us so many things worth celebrating —most importantly, His love and forgiveness. Kids will enjoy games, music, crafts, time with friends, and more while celebrating our Savior! (Kids 3-years-old [potty-trained] through 5th grade.)

Sunday Fellowship Treats

The Fellowship Board would like to thank everyone who has continued to provide treats while church services were over at the school.  We will be continuing our Fellowship time after Sunday services with coffee and a sweet treat in the fellowship hall. Linger awhile and enjoy conversation with other TLC members! This is an ideal time to meet and greet those you don’t know. 

Each week treats are provided by those listed in the bulletin under the ‘Those Who Are Serving’ chart. Look and see if your last name begins with those letters listed. If everyone contributes it divides the load and we enjoy a variety of treats. The list is also posted in the hallway by the church kitchen door. We love homemade items, but store-bought works too. Fruit and bagels are always a good option. Thank you for serving in this small way.
