TRINITY LUTHERAN CHURCH E-NEWSLETTER

The week of Sunday, May 5th

Sunday's Gospel Text: John 15:9-17

This Sunday's service will not be livestreamed, as all our technicians are out this weekend. We apologize for this inconvenience. We hope you can join us in-person! (And consider getting trained in the sound booth!)

We have 5 participants ready to shine their light on Wednesday! Looking for a few more volunteers to participate. Ideas include: singing, poetry, saying the Lord’s Prayer in a different language, showing off some sport skills, dancing, hula hooping, lego building, comedy, art display, demonstrations, etc.

Plan to participate? Please let Samantha know.

TRINITY UPDATES

Rocky Mountain Synod Calls New Bishop-Elect

The Assembly, held in Loveland, CO last weekend, called Rev. Dr. Megan Johnston-Aelabouni to serve as the next Bishop of the Rocky Mountain Synod! Please hold her family in prayer as they end their time in Jerusalem and move to Colorado. And please hold current Bishop, Jim Gonia, and his family in prayer as he ends his term.

New Stickers!

Our new collection of vinyl stickers are here! These stickers are not only fun decorations for your water bottle, laptop, or camping bin, but powerful tools to spark conversations about your faith community and Trinity's mission and values. They carry our message of hope, love, and community.

Grab one next time you're in the building!

Two weeks ago during worship, we made a bittersweet announcement.

While Trinity continues to listen to God’s call and mission for us during leadership transition, our staff are also listening to The Spirit and how She moves in their personal lives.

Our Director of Operations and Programming, Samantha Johnson, is listening to God’s nudge to return to the Midwest to be closer to family and friends. We serve a faithful God who not only will be blessing another community with Samantha, but who also has great plans for her, us, and our future.

Trinity is accessible via Jackson Creek Parkway!

The development behind Trinity is quickly growing! The neighborhoods are now connected and you can access Trinity via Jackson Creek Parkway! Turn east onto Slopeside and right on Brass Buckle. Brass Buckle winds into Lucky Penny Lane, followed by one more right onto Knollwood Drive!

MINISTRY TEAM FEATURE OF THE MONTH

Facilities

The Facilities Team is accountable to oversee the care, maintenance and updates to the property. They ensure the facilities and properties are well maintained and welcoming to all. They're hosting our Spring Cleanup day on Saturday, May 11th.

Do you have gifts in maintenance? Please connect with Jeff Haeffele, council liaison.

UPCOMING EVENTS

Our annual spring clean up day will be here in a few weeks. We have projects for all abilities, including prepping lunch! We will feed you! Thank you for all you do to help keep our property welcoming and inviting!

LOOKING AHEAD

CELEBRATIONS

It was a frigid, foggy Sunday, but that did not stop us from planting 50 trees in Trinity Community Park after worship a few weeks ago! Our little Douglas Firs are along the walking path, property line and scattered around the park. We can't wait to watch them slowly grow and provide shade to our park space. Thank you to all who joined us!

Wednesday night was so joyful as we held our Fruits of the Spirit Awards night. It was an opportunity to celebrate and affirm our amazing children, youth, and teachers. The night was filled with laughter, music, and sweet s'mores! Thanks to all who made it!

PRAYER REQUESTS

Our Prayer Team will pray for you and raise up your requests and praises to God.
