Dear Miramonte Community,
Week 1 is in the books! We had a great start and are well on our way to making it a great 2024-2025 school year. A few things to note:
CELL PHONES: This year we have tightened our school-wide cell phone policy. All students are required to put their cell phone in the classroom phone box upon arriving to class. The phones are not accessible during class time unless the teacher explicitly gives permission for students to use them for an educational activity. The goal with this policy is simply to help our students focus during instructional time and avoid distractions that we know phones cause. As we move through the year we will continue to evaluate our policies and what schools around the state are doing to curb cell phone usage.
WELCOME BACK SPIRIT WEEK: Next week is our first Spirit Week of the year hosted by our Leadership Class. Please click here to view the themes, activities, and dress up days for the week. One of our goals for the year is to increase opportunities for connection and spirit during the school day. We have planned more activities this year and hope that students will enjoy the fun!
BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT AND PARENT NIGHT: Please save the date for Back to School Night (Thursday, August 29) and Parent Night (Thursday, September 5). These events provide key information for parents/guardians about our courses, curriculum, programs, clubs, and school policies. They are also a great time to engage with staff and parents, and learn about the Miramonte Parents’ Club, Athletic Boosters Club, and ONE-Miramonte.
Have a great weekend and Go Mats!

Dear Miramonte Families,
I hope everyone is enjoying an awesome start to their school year. It has been really nice to see everyone back on campus...I am still in disbelief that I now have TWO kids in high school!
I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the amazing volunteers who made MATS Day such a success. A special shoutout to our incredible MATS Day Chairs, Kira Wampler and Jessica Kelly, as well as our Miramonte Admin Team for their hard work and dedication in organizing this fun & memorable day for our students and families.
A huge thank you as well to Charlene Robinson for her incredible efforts in coordinating our MATS Merch. From ordering to organizing and distribution, she is making sure everyone has the opportunity to show their school spirit in style. And if you missed out or want to add to your collection, good news—you can order MATS Merch through Sunday, August 25, for September delivery!
I’d also like to extend a warm welcome to our new families. We hope to see you at the Mira-Mingle new parent welcome on Thursday, August 22, at 8:45 a.m. in the Student Union, where you’ll have the chance to meet our school administrators and Parents' Club leaders, learn about opportunities to get involved, and ask any questions you may have. It’s a wonderful way to get connected and start building our community.
Finally, let’s give a big welcome to our new staff members who have joined the Miramonte family this year. We’re thrilled to have you on board:
