This community-wide garage sale is held at the Intermodel Facility and helps keep reusable items out of the waste stream. Items are donated and volunteers from non-profit groups help fund the sale and share the profit. Donation drop-offs begin Friday, July 26 and shopping continues until Saturday, August 3.

Head to the Ames Main Street Farmers' Market this Saturday! Buy fresh produce, unique goods, delicious food, and more at this amazing local market. Don't forget to grab some sweet corn while you're there. Can't make it this time? The Ames Main Street Farmers' Market will continue each Saturday from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. until fall.

The Farm Progress Show is the nation’s largest outdoor farm event, annually hosting over 600 exhibitors from around the world. This agriculture event gives visitors the opportunity to see the latest equipment, seed, crop chemicals, field demonstrations, livestock handling, rural life programs and entertainment, arts and crafts, and more!

Barenaked Ladies at Stephens Auditorium

Stephens Auditorium will welcome Barenaked Ladies to the Stephens stage for the first time on Tuesday, Oct. 29 at 7:30 pm. The band last played Ames in 2004 when they opened for the Dave Matthews Band. BNL has garnered two GRAMMY nominations and was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame.
