Hello Owls,

As we wrap up our final week of state assessments, I would like to thank all of our families and students for your support and cooperation in getting your students on-site to test. The staff and I are beyond impressed with our students and it was a pleasure for us to see so many of you in person. We are knocking on summer’s door, please feel comfortable reaching out with anything you may need to help call the 2023-2024 a success!

Transcripts for High School Students (Grades 9-12)

Transcripts are now available for high school students in Parchment. Students can access unofficial transcripts free of charge by creating an account. Parents can order official transcripts for $4.50. Please be advised that orders for official transcripts will only be processed if the destination is an official institution (college, university) and will not be released to the parent/personal e-mail accounts.

Students received Parchment account activation e-mails to their CEC student e-mail accounts. Students can follow the directions in their e-mail to obtain an unofficial self-view transcript that reflects Fall 2023 coursework. 2024-2025 Residency Affidavits Coming Soon

Students who are enrolled in public online schools in the state of Colorado must have an annual residency affidavit signed and on file for each year that they are enrolled in public online schools. 2024-2025 residency affidavits will be e-mailed to every student's primary guardian on file in Infinite Campus starting in March and will require your signature to be eligible for enrollment for the 2024-2025 school year. Please keep an eye out for this form starting in March.

Student Withdrawal Process

If you plan to leave CEC Online Campus at any point this semester or at the end of the school year to attend another school, please notify a staff member as soon as possible or reach out to jessica.connelly@coloradoearlycolleges.org to start the withdrawal process. A signed withdrawal form is required for all students who leave the school and helps us track to where students enroll. Thank you for your cooperation!

Hello Students and Guardians,

The clock continues ticking as we approach the middle of May, and we can't help but reflect on the incredible journey this year has brought us academically. With a little less than 3 weeks of school left, we want to take a moment to encourage each one of you to finish strong. Though the temptation to coast through these last few weeks may be strong, we encourage you to stay focused and engaged in your course work. Every assignment completed, every question asked, and every concept mastered brings you one step closer to your goals. This is not the time to check out early and daydream about summer activities...YET! It's natural to feel a mix of emotions as the school year ends. A lot of you may be eagerly anticipating the freedom of summer, while others might be feeling the pressure of ending the semester with exams and deadlines looming over you. Whatever you're feeling right now, remember, CECOLC’s leadership, teachers, advisors, support staff, and fellow students are here to support each of you to overcome any challenges that might pop up!

The advising team continues to meet with our current HS students and will be connecting with the rising class of 2028 beginning next week. Once again, if you haven't secured your appointment yet, we urge you to do so ASAP! These appointments are vital in establishing a clear and productive roadmap for your academic journey, and we encourage every student/guardian to go ahead and schedule one with your advisor. For our 6th and 7th graders, please mark your calendars for Tuesday, May 7th @ 1 – 2pm, and connect with your point person in advising.

Lastly, as we enter the final stretch of the academic year, your journey is not ending, but rather beginning or transitioning to what is next. Graduates are considering how they are going to reshape the world, while the rest of the Owls are getting their GPS navigating system tuned up, so they can fly in the right direction toward their goals. We are excited to enlighten your path forward and help each of you through all the terrain coming up!

Keep Soaring High,

Staff Spotlight!

Mr. Sean Clason, our social studies teacher, earned his master's degree in American History from the University of Northern Colorado. He has been with the CEC Online Campus since the beginning and loves that staff and families get a say in the direction of their lessons and learning. Outside of school, he enjoys fishing, carpentry, and anything baseball related. If he could have one superpower, it would be flying, so he can travel wherever and whenever he wants.

Teacher Appreciation Week!

Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week is April 29 - May 3, and we invite you to join us in honoring the hard work and dedication of our educators and support staff by making a gift! Your contribution will help us provide tokens of gratitude and recognition to those who tirelessly nurture and support our students every day. Your gift will enable us to provide heartfelt gestures of appreciation, reminding our educators and staff that their hard work is valued and cherished.
