Registration Open for Tree Smart Brown Bag Lunch & Learn May 15 Event

You are invited to join experts from our Community Tree Preservation group and other community members for the next Tree Smart Brown Bag Lunch & Learn on May 15. This is a free opportunity to learn more about the City’s tree ordinance and help protect our urban forest. These events will be during lunchtime for your convenience. Light snacks will be provided and participants are encouraged to bring their lunch if desired.

Permitting and Development Center (6310 Wilhelmina Delco Dr.)  

Tree Smart learning opportunities are open to all Austinites and anyone with a project that could be subject to the City’s tree protection requirements. The presentation will focus mainly on information that affects permit holders and professionals who work in development and landscaping. Participants will also have an opportunity to ask questions of the City Arborist and other DSD tree personnel. 

On-site parking is available at the Permitting and Development Center, and parking will be provided for free during this event. Be sure to get your ticket validated. More information will be included with your registration, but space is limited so register today.

Ya está abierta la inscripción para el evento de almuerzo y aprendizaje sobre árboles Tree Smart Brown Bag del día 15 de mayo

Lo invitamos a unirse a los expertos de nuestro Grupo de Conservación de Árboles de la Comunidad y a otros integrantes de la comunidad para el próximo evento de almuerzo y aprendizaje Tree Smart Brown Bag el día 15 de mayo. Se trata de una oportunidad gratis para informarse más sobre la ordenanza de árboles de la Ciudad y ayudar a proteger nuestro bosque urbano. Para su comodidad, estos eventos tendrán lugar durante la hora del almuerzo. Se ofrecerán aperitivos ligeros y se anima a los participantes a traer su almuerzo si lo desean.

Las oportunidades de aprendizaje de Tree Smart están a disposición de la comunidad de Austin y de cualquier persona con un proyecto que pudiera estar sujeto a los requisitos de protección forestal de la Ciudad. La presentación se enfocará principalmente en la información que afecta a los titulares de permisos y a los profesionales que trabajan en desarrollo y paisajismo. Quienes participen también tendrán la posibilidad de hacer preguntas al arbolista de la Ciudad y a otros integrantes del personal forestal del Departamento de Servicios de Desarrollo (Development Services Department, DSD).

Hay estacionamiento disponible en el Centro de Permisos y Desarrollo, y será gratuito durante el evento. Asegúrese de que le validen su boleto. Se incluirá más información con su inscripción, pero hay cupos limitados así que inscríbase hoy mismo.
