LORD'S ACRE

Saturday, October 12, 10am-3pm


Mark your calendars for Lord's Acre on October 12th! It will be here soon, and preparations are underway. Here are some ways you can help:


  • Donations of individually-packaged chips, snacks (protein bars, peanut butter crackers, pretzels, etc.), and drinks (cans of soda, bottles of water/sports drinks, juice boxes). These may be delivered to the marked bin in the Narthex.
  • Plan to bring item(s) for the silent and/or live auction. Forms are available in the Narthex and on the church website, and may be turned in at the Connection Center.
  • If you would like to be a vendor at Lord's Acre, please see the application on the church website.

ADULT MISSION TRIP - PROGRESS IN PERRYTON

October 2-6


Our work in Perryton is not done! Join us as we continue repairs on a mobile home that were started during the high school mission trip. We will be replacing metal siding, installing wood skirting, replacing a door and two windows, installing kitchen cabinets and countertop, and building a wood deck. Almost all work will be outdoors, and climbing or standing on a ladder will be required.


We will stay at the Waka Christian Center, where there are separate accommodations (bunkrooms and showers) for men and women. Maximum 20 participants. Sign up at the Connection Center. Please contact David Sides at 281-723-7345 with any questions.

SUMMER NEEDLEWORK CIRCLE

Wednesdays through August 14, 9:30-11am, Parlor

MEN'S DEVOTIONAL BREAKFAST

Mondays, 7:30am, MAC Center



Men, start your week with a brief devotional, led by David Stubbs. Burritos and coffee will be served. This is an opportunity to meet new people and decompress. The goal is for those not retired, to get back on the road by 8:15, at the latest. A donation of $5 is asked to cover the cost.

Our groups are open to adults in our community who are experiencing daily challenges.


  • Alzheimer's Support Group & Kaleidoscope - meets the second Thursday of each month at 1:00pm.
  • Cancer Support Group - meets the second Tuesday of each month
  • Caring Hearts/Stephen Ministers - offer compassionate and confidential prayer, support, and encouragement
